'60 LEICH CONVERT
1960s Leich convertible. This phone can convert into either a desk or wall mount. Most phone companies had different versions for wall and desk use. Leich made a practice of designing phones that could be used both ways. This version is more "modern" looking than the phone at right but has the same quality that Leich was famous for. Brass fingerwheels for $15 extra.

'37 DIAL MAG PHONE W/NO MAG
circa 1937 European dial phone. They are available with and without a magneto. This version is dial only it does not have a magneto.

'37 DIAL MAGNETO PHONE W/MAG
This version comes with a magneto to ring the bells. These phones could be used on lines that were powered by the central office. If the equipment was available to directly dial the number these phones could do it. If you needed to "ring up" the central office these phones could be used on the these older systems also.

This is the intermediate version of the 3500 set. These have the older 3" dial instead of the 4." However, this comes with G1 handset. This phone also uses the 300 base and a shorted version of what was to be the 500 set.

WE 3500 G1 W/ 4 INCH DIAL
Western Electric 5302. 1954 These are a cross between the 300 and 500.The base and internal components were from the 300 set. The case was a shortened version of what was to become the 500 set.This was the last version of the 3500 before the 500 set was introduced. It has the more modern 4" dial. The handset is the G1 that was used on the 500. The transition period between the 300 set to the 500 sets was relatively short, consequently none of the 3500 set variations are particularly common. These are probably one of the most overlooked collectibles today

We have taken the oringinal Hi-boy removed the magneto, and shortened the case. The result a more compact example of a classic European telephone.

1937 North Galion; OH desk phone. This was one of the independants answer to the Western Electric 300 set. The phone has a wide base similar to the Nothern Electric counterpart and the soft curves of the 300 design of the Henry Dreyfus. North Galion wall made in Galion; OH. This was one of the independants answer to the Western Electric 352. This phone was a slightly more compact design than its Western Electric counterpart. These phones had a screw and hinge mounting the front case of the phone to the back. This made the phone very easy to work on as all that was required was to remove a single screw and the phone could be swung open for easy maintenance.

N.E. DESK 1937
Northern Electric 1937 desk set. Also known as Model 1. This phone was made by Northern Electric the Canadian subsidiary of the Bell system. This was the Canadian version of the famous 300 set that was designed by Henry Dreyfuss. The wider base allows for gently sloping pyramid shape that many people find even more eye appealing than the Dreyfus design. This phone is a beautiful example of understated elegance in Art Deco.

W.E. DESK 300 SET STEEL
1940 WE 300 set desk.This is probably the most famous of the designs that famed architect and designer Henry Dreyfus did for Western Electric. The smooth graceful lines effected the design of telephone for at least 2 decades beyond its introduction. The phones were not only nice to look at they were very well built. Ma bell expected to collect rent on these for many years so when they were built they were built to last.
We supplied one of these to Dreamworks for the film The Road to Perdition starring Tyler Hoechlin, Rob Maxey, Liam Aiken, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, and Daniel Craig.

Kellogg Spacesaver. This is Kellogg's version of the Western Electric space saver shown above. The unit is very similar to the Western Electric except these have a little fancier handset. The phone does not have a ringer due to its small size. The phone is quite robust and will mount readily under any bar or counter where answer only capabilities are required.
