More Information and Quality Picture Western Electric 5302. 1954 These are a cross between the 300 and 500.The base and internal components were from the 300 set. The case was a shortened version of what was to become the 500 set. This was the last version of the 3500 before the 500 set was introduced. It has the more modern 4" dial. The handset is the G1 that was used on the 500. The transition period between the 300 set to the 500 sets was relatively short, consequently none of the 3500 set variations are particularly common. These are probably one of the most overlooked collectibles today

1940 WE 300 set desk. This is probably the most famous of the designs that famed architect and designer Henry Dreyfus did for Western Electric. The smooth graceful lines effected the design of telephone for at least 2 decades beyond its introduction. The phones were not only nice to look at they were very well built. Ma bell expected to collect rent on these for many years so when they were built they were built to last.
We supplied one of these to Dreamworks for the film The Road to Perdition starring Tyler Hoechlin, Rob Maxey, Liam Aiken, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, and Daniel Craig.
